Silent Slayer - Vault of the Vampire is Schell Games' first foray into the world of horror, bringing vampire slaying to life in too-close-for-comfort VR. Think the board game Operation - move slowly and aim true - expect it's slay or be slain. My primary role on Silent Slayer was that of mixed reality engineer - I was the sole developer responsible for implenting the game's mixed reality mode, which brings you and your vampire target out of the crypt and into your living space! This was my first Unreal Engine project, and served as a great crash course in learning the engine's idiosyncrasies and best practices. I did also manage to sneak in some signature scares of my own.
